Wake Forest, N.C.: NC Solar Now of Raleigh, NC installed a 34.8 kW solar array on the roof of Trident Technology Solutions, Inc. located in Wake Forest, N.C. The full service business communication and IT services company requires round –the-clock power to support its clients so it looked to solar, which gives Trident peace of mind and a lower bottom line.
Trident’s Senior VP of Sales Scott Moore said there were multiple reasons for going solar, but what motivated the company most was the ability to “diversify our power sources, reduce our monthly energy bill and to take advantage of the current tax savings being offered.”
“State and federal tax credits along with an accelerated depreciation schedule make solar an appealing investment for businesses in North Carolina,” said NC Solar Now’s Director of Sales Gregory Olenar.
The state credits are set to expire at the end of 2015, which was a component in Trident acting now to install solar. Moore said, “[We recognize the] positives of a renewable energy source and the effect our investment in solar will have on our bottom line and our ability to support our clients.”
