Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you came to own Pettyjohn’s Cleaning.
Our family was stone cold broke when we moved to Wake Forest in 1989. I asked the Lord to help me find a way to feed my family and He led me to start this company.
How long have you been in business?
I have been in business for 30 years.
What made you decide to go solar?
The Bible is very clear in the very first chapter that we are to take care of the world that the Lord has made for us. It has been our policy at Pettyjohn’s to use sustainable practices to be responsible stewards of our environment. Using renewable solar energy is a natural expression of that.
How was your experience working with NC Solar Now?
Every question is answered promptly and thoroughly. Every staff member is knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and courteous.
What is your favorite part about owning a business in NC?
My favorite part of owning a business here in North Carolina is that I am able to have a profound impact on a lot of people’s lives: our employees, our precious customers, and colleagues across the country who seek to emulate what we do and how we do it. Plus…it gives us an opportunity to take proper care of the resources of our wonderful state…Resources which include the rugs and textiles in one of our states prized jewels…The executive residence.
