Open Letter to the North Carolina Legislature
Dear Friends and Supporters,
You probably have already heard that the North Carolina Legislature decided that the finance package in the new budget did not include the extension of the renewable energy investment tax credit, therefore allowing the NC credit to sunset at the end of 2015.
You may be wondering what this means for the future of solar energy in our state. Well, we can’t speak for other solar energy companies, but for us at NC Solar Now, we see a continuing shining future for solar here in North Carolina.
We have been preparing for this moment and already have plans in place to keep our solar installations going strong. We see no reason for this political decision to change anything for people like you who are interested in all that renewable energy has to offer and we are here to offer you many choices in solutions to rising energy costs.

We will continue to source solar equipment and supplies in ways that reduce costs so we can pass these onto you, our customers. We certainly don’t want the decisions and actions of legislators and lobbyists, who ran a well-funded, misinformation campaign, to ever affect your desire to go green, save money and reduce your carbon footprint.
Plus, we have many other options for our customers to ensure they can keep saving more than just the planet. We will continue to deliver reliable, great service to our customers and we will always stand by our work.
